About me
Heather has served as an Administrator for 18, the past 11 as Lead Learner/Principal. During her tenure as Principal, Heather's key focus has been to build and cultivate school culture where learning is at centre, communities are inclusive and staff are valued and appreciated so they can push excellence. As Principal, Heather has closed a school (St. Kevin's Junior High) served as the second Principal after a five year opening wave (Mother Margaret Mary High School), served as first female Principal after 64 years (St. Francis Xavier High School) and most recently served as first Principal (Father Michael McCaffery Catholic High School). Heather has served on division committees to help reshape the Inclusive funding model, revision high school funding, address critical issues related to school safety and mental health. She has received the Catholic Education Award from Council of Catholic School Superintendents and Distinguished Leadership Award for the Council on School Leadership.
