About me
Aileen Taylor currently serves as the Coordinator of Mental Health Services for Christ the Redeemer Catholic School Division. She has 26 years of experience in school-based mental health, having worked as a teacher, school counsellor, and district leader. Her career began in the Rocky Mountains, in a small rural school district in British Columbia, where she supported Counselling Services, Indigenous Education, the Alternative School, and Diverse Learning programs. After relocating to Alberta, she spent 22 years with the Calgary Catholic School District, first as a school counsellor and later as the district's Consultant for School Counselling. In that role, she supported the leadership of the Critical Incident Team, collaborated closely with the district counselling team and administrators, and contributed to district and provincial mental health initiatives. Aileen is committed to fostering safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environments where every student can thrive. Her approach is grounded in collaboration, compassion, and a dedication to empowering young people. Originally from the East Coast, she enjoys keeping in touch with her Scottish roots by listening to Celtic tunes and spending summers by the ocean with her husband and three sons.
